So, your kid won’t eat their vegetables. Now what? 🤔 Kacie Barnes, MCN, RDN, LD (@mamaknowsnutrition) shared some of her best tips with us. 👇 🗣️ 1. Talk about veggies. Use age-appropriate language and explanations to help your kids understand the benefits of specific foods. 🥦🧀 2. Offer variety. Try serving foods in different dishes or in different ways. This could look like adding diced veggies to an omelet, serving carrots with ranch dressing or hummus, replacing pasta with veggie noodles, or adding some cheese to steamed broccoli. 😜 3. Make it fun. Different colors on a plate, making a face out of veggies, or a classic like ants on a log are great ways to keep kids engaged and excited. 😋 4. Pouches are your friend. “They get the same benefits of the micronutrients and some of the functional aspects of the foods,” says Barnes. Don’t give up (but don’t push too hard)! Have patience and be creative. You’ve got this! ❤️ 🔗 Head to our link in bio for more from @mamaknowsnu...
