#COP26 is over but the climate emergency is not. And how can it ever be, if something that accounts for about one-third of global greenhouse gas emissions isn’t at the top of every climate meeting agenda? Yes, we’re talking about the food sector again and we’re not only talking: Plant-based alliances all over the world have now signed a Call for Action in which national governments are urged to advocate for a predominantly plant-based food system as a pillar of their emission reduction strategies. And since the food sector was left off the COP26 main agenda, it would make a lot of sense to transform next year’s COP27 in Egypt into the “Food COP” don’t you think?
