🎨 🚗 BMW Art Cars: 8 of 19 - Ken Done, 1989. Done wanted his Art Car to express his fascination with the high-performance car, as well as reflect the vitality of his Australian homeland. He ultimately decided to depict the exotic colours of parrots and parrotfish, which, in his view, have beauty and speed in common with the BMW M3. This specific car was the Australian Touring Car Championship winner in 1987, and went on to become Done's Art Car. As the first art car artist to paint the wheels of his creation, Done was very focused on celebrating the speed of the vehicle, reflective of its previous winning streak. Which colors on the car are related to the parrot? The parrotfish? What could the spectrum of colors moving from the front to the back of the car mean? ___ kendonegallery bmwgroup #KenDone #BMWArtCar #BMWGroupCulture
