🏎 Commemorate A.R. Penck's 1991 take on the #BMWArtCar 🎉 | The BMW Z1, molded with the artist's own striking, simplistic designs, reflects his view that the car itself is already a 'work of art.' Considering the creativity and imagination of the designers and engineers who dreamed up the automobile, the artist infused his style with technical design elements. Challenging this with his own cosmic language of sign and symbol, Penck created a unique style reminiscent of prehistoric cave paintings that challenges viewers to decode and decipher the abstract. #BMWGroupCulture __⁣ Currently on view at the albertinum.dresden are works from A.R. Penck's early Dresden period. #ARPenck #BMWGroupCulture
