This year marks the 40th anniversary of famed American Pop artist Andy Warhol's Art Car. No lesser person than Andy Warhol immortalized himself in #TheM1, establishing a legacy that would lead his work to become one of the greatest highlights of the collection of artworks on wheels. Warhol explained the bold, bright and lucid brush and finger strokes on #TheM1 Art Car thus: “I tried to portray a sense of speed. When a car is going really fast all the lines and colors become a blur.” • #AndyWarhol #PopArt #BMWArtCar #BMWGroupCulture⁣ ⁣ 📷 stephan_bauer | bmwclassic
