A free sexual health vending machine has been brought to Central Michigan University's campus in the Bovee Univeristy Center. Students can use the vending machine without needing any ID verification and it is completely free of charge.
Some products included in the vending machine are, menstrual products, condoms, Plan B and Narcan. The vending machine is maintained through grants and partnerships with various companies and the Health Department.
“Prevention is so much better than reaction,” said Emma Buschlen, who spearheaded the effort. “By us having this vending machine on campus, CMU is taking a preventative approach to protect ourselves and our students from sexual health things.”
