The Great Jackolantern Blaze Long Island! Our annual tradition continues! Kicking off the Halloween season with our second visit to The Great Jackolantern Blaze - a production of Historic Hudson Valley, a non profit educational organization (which means your ticket sales $ goes to helping support the Old Bethpage Restoration and Historic Hudson Valley!). From Long Island made out of pumpkins to the history of Long Island made out of pumpkins to famous Long Islanders - made out pumpkins - we loved it! Top highlights include lit up pumpkin tunnels to walk through, a spooky nod to the Headless Horseman, the lit up (pumpkin) sunflower field (my fav), iridescent pumpkin jellyfish, and all the different ways to make a pumpkin look like different fun things. 7,000 pumpkins that is! All carved by their team of artists. Fall vibes were strong with the synchronized soundtrack as well.
