Last day of my 1st “rutcation”. It’s been one hell of a hunt. Action on most sits and saw 2 mature bucks that would be my biggest to date. This morning I had an encounter with a shooter who was 30 yards away but offered no shot due to cover. Around 11 the wind switched from NE to S so I made a slight change in my set up closer to where I’ve seen bucks crossing. While I was sitting on my platform, dozing off, this little buck did exactly what I want a mature Buck to do. Back to work tomorrow but grateful for my wife who sacrifices so much this time of year.
