The wait is over, Phantom GX 2 review is live. The response online hasn’t been overwhelmingly positive I’d say, but to be fair they’re actually still good boots - especially the AG-Pro version which is the same tooling as on the GX 1. The upper is still soft, but with a slightly more loose fit compared to GX 1 - some people will like it, while others, like myself, will prefer the fit and feel of the GX 1. Of course there are a few other niggles - that collar bunching up for instance, but comfort and performance wise, it’s still a very good boot. Does it have the same magic as GX 1? Arguably not, but it can’t take away from the fact that it still does many things right.
