Ahead of the best shopping week of the year at the Kentucky Three Day, where shops fill a coliseum and more, I really need a strategy. . When it comes to spending I’m neither the go-to for designer items nor the penny pincher who has the hacks. It’s like I have an internal value system that assigns what I’m willing to spend on one item but not another at random. I mean half my saddle pads are second hand, but I still buy $40 fly spray. I will not buy a stud box, but I’ve likely spent enough on Fiji water in the past month to cover one…. Also why am I eyeing a $400 brown bridle, but cannot fathom spending $150 on a dressage bridle….
