What’s your favorite barn kid memory? . . I always had (cow) horses at home, but I took my very first riding lessons as a 6 or 7 year-old. I remember being quizzed on all the parts of the horse, the parts of the saddle, and I could never remember them all. 😅 . But, at that age is was about having fun. Loving on my horse, learning in a safe environment. I was a pretty competitive kid internally (and was likely fortunate to not have the funds to start competing regularly to young) but then my horse wasn’t a means to reach a riding competion goal. The horse, spending time at the barn, that was the goal. . .
