I’m so grateful for the kind group of people who joined us Friday afternoon to walk the 4**** cross-country course at the Kentucky Three-Day with chewy and buckeyenutrition #. They weathered the rain and kept up with our commentary! . This is my kind-of day. I love chatting about a cross-country course and the sport of eventing. For me, it was great to have someone like kimmycecere who has that bit more experience to bounce my thoughts off of. . With my own experience at the Intermediate and 3* level, it was great to walk such a more technical 4* course and feel that added level of difficulty. It’s not just “larger jumps” but the horse and rider need to read the fences faster, stay on a tighter line, balance the terrain that much more, and have that all happen at a quicker speed. . Whether you are moving up in any level, it’s important to know the standards and questions will be increased. It’s much more than having the ability to jump the 3 to 4” higher. . But, bless my horse Swatcher...
