Homecoming day, my best girly pop, swirlitude, Jax to my Claud is arriving tonight. She’ll be back to find her next lessor, but the little in-between time is always appreciated. . Pretty Like Me, Frye, was a horse I started riding the winter after I graduated college. My coach had two OTTBs in training, and I was able to send my tax return to her owner and bring her home while I still lived in Auburn. She took me to my first 2**, intermediate and 3***. She took another young rider to her first training, modified, and preliminary. Then, she took another even younger rider to her first Starter! I think those first years after college when you are financially on your own can be the scariest as a rider, and Frye & I hunkered down and made what we had (or didn’t have) work. .
