The hours spent picking out the perfect #ROOTD were at least wasted for today’s jump school. Drenched, freezing, mascara running down face, and wondering why I ever come to Aiken in January. . Not even a smidge of a clip of Swatch jumping out of his skin this morning. But, that’s when I know we’re going to jump well, when I can’t share it with the world 😅 . I promise tomorrow I will have the perfect outfit to post and show just how glamorous I am. . Today, Swatch was super, starting out forward thinking which has been a nice change. So, I focused on using my bend to maintain my rhythm and balance. Even on straight lines between jumps by creating a little bend and finding that outside rein I could maintain a better canter. Then, in the same thought of creating a bend, I also had to focus on staying soft in my arm and forward with my hand.
