I was never in pony club. Actually, I remember being 9 and wrapping a pony’s legs the wrong way! One of the cool college girls corrected me, and I’ve used her method ever since!
.
I like to use polos when I’m schooling at competitions, showing a horse, or maybe some flatwork. I use to use them religiously, but I think you can find thinner boots that release heat a bit better and for ease, a brush boot is sure easier to store. But, a white polo is always classy.
.
So start at the top of the knee. Always wrap tendon away from you, canon bone towards. I may take a tiny tug as I bring the wrap forward to me, but never away (as the wrap sits on those tendons). Pressure should remain the same from knee to fetlock.
.
I usually do one wrap around the fetlock before I start taking the wrap back up to the knee.
.
Folding the piece above the knee down, I velcro once the polo is back where I started preferably facing forward or to the outside.
