St. Simon’s Vacay ✔️ . . I made a spur of the moment decision Friday to book a hotel and take Huckle and I on a little beach 🏖 vacation to celebrate my new job, relax, and to prove I could do it. Low-key, best decision ever. . You know the best part of going on vacation by yourself? You can do whatever you want. . Order chicken fingers and a margarita for lunch? Ok. . Order crab legs and crème brûlée w/ amaretto sours? Sure. My treat. . The island has a great village-vibe, and I felt safe traveling w/ just my dog and I. The island was super dog friendly so Huck went most everywhere with me. . I rented a bike for the day under $20 and rode through most of the island during the morning before spending the afternoon on the beach. I biked to the shops and pier which had plenty to look out without feeling over-priced or too touristy. (Huckle had to squeeze in the basket on the way home with my purchases 😂) .
