🌟 No Bit Wiggling! : I’ve found myself riding a bit more off my hand, and to combat pulled a tool I learned as a working student from @allisonspringereventing . I pull the ends of my stirrup leathers up and hold, pulling at a 45 degree angle forward along with the reins in my hand. By doing this, I’m unable to wiggle or pull back on my horse’s mouth. Instead, I use my leg to push the horse forward into the bit! (The correct way!) . Here I’m riding Rian a 4yo warmblood gelding. He’s a lovely type, but only a week off pasture puff. This helps me continue to ride forward even when he’s a bit weak and finding his legs underneath himself! . .
