Frye and I had a really cool opportunity to go clinic with kimseversoneventing this weekend. (Thanks Mom!) Kim was my first Eventing inspiration before I even jumped my first cross-country jump! I was fan-girling but also left feeling inspired with a list of homework.

Notes:
1. My forward button. Frye is a well-schooled, sensible, girl. But, I do allow if not “cultivate” her to go around under-powered. Get the gallop, insure she’s reactive to my leg and aids, then I have options and you know, can jump the things.
2. My line. (Oh I heard my coach on this one) I don’t feel like my eye is that great, so my cop-out ha been slowing the canter to give me time to figure out where I am. Rather, pick my path smarter. Stay out in my corner, make sure my horse is straight and has access to understand the question. This give me the “time/ability” to see where my horse is going to take off. Not, coming In slow & cutting my turn.
3. My shoulders. 🩸 H*** I did one chest opening yoga class tonight ...
