Dressed to Impress 🪶 During the breeding season, great egrets transform! Their facial patches turn lime green, and their back feathers – called aigrettes – grow into beautiful, waving plumes. To attract a mate, males build a nest platform and perform a mesmerising courtship dance, gracefully curving their body into an 'S' position and swaying their bodies. #EarthCapture by @debsandidge . . . . #GreatEgret #BirdsOfInstagram #WildlifeConservation #NaturePhotography
