Arctic foxes hunt in a technique called ‘mousing’, diving face-first into snow to catch their prey by surprise. Recent studies have shown that the skull shape of arctic foxes prevents them from getting injured. Their long pointy snouts can penetrate snow without much resistance, and their longer snouts also mean they reach their prey sooner than if they had flat snouts, making it easier to catch their nimble prey. #EarthCapture by roiegalitz . . . . #ArcticFox #AnimalFacts #AmazingAnimals
