The rarest frog in the world? 🐸 Amphibians, specifically frogs and toads, are the most threatened group of vertebrates on the planet. This frog, nicknamed Sad Santiago, could be the rarest. According to the IUCN there are only up to 49 Morona Santiago Harlequin frogs left in the wild. Luckily, a team of conservationists found Sad Santiago a mate, and managed to breed tadpoles in captivity, securing some hope for the survival of this species. . . . . #PlanetEarth3 #FrogsOfInstagram #EndangeredSpecies
