Orangutans are our closest relatives - and share roughly 97% of our DNA!⁣ ⁣ Orangutans (Pongo) spend most of their time dwelling in trees. Their powerful arms can stretch out longer than their bodies, enabling them to swing between tree branches, and even hang upside down. Loss of habitat via deforestation has led them to become a critically endangered species. ⁣ #InternationalOrangutanDay⁣ ⁣ #EarthCapture by:⁣ 1&2: 📸 mogenstrolle⁣ 3: 📸 itsmesubhash ⁣ 4: 📸 mcdouglasphotography⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #bbcearth #orangutans #primates #primate #ape #mammals #landmammals #amazingphotography #wildlife #wildlifephotography #naturephotography #amazinganimals #nature #naturelovers #earth #earthlovers⁣
