Exhaling after a long day 💤   The carnivorous blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus) can span up to 30m in length, and weigh over 180,000kg, making it the largest animal to have ever lived. Its tongue alone can weigh as much as some elephants. They cannot breathe underwater, and instead, pop up to inhale air though a blowhole on the top of their heads.   #EarthCapture by slatermoorephotography . . . . #bbcearth #bluewhale #oceans #underwaterphotography #oceanphotography #wildlife #wildlifephotography #naturephotography #amazinganimals #nature #naturelovers #earth #earthlovers
