The 12 Days of Christmas- Day1: Trifle Ingredients: - 1L custard - 600ml thickened cream - 3 tbsp powdered sugar - 1 tsp vanilla - 1 packet savoiardi/lady finger biscuits - 2 packets port wine jelly (use whatever flavour you want) - 1 punnet raspberries - 1 punnet blueberries - 1 punnet blackberries - 1 punnet strawberries - 1 flake, crushed 1. Make jelly according to the instructions on the packet and set aside 2. Line the bottom of a bowl or serving dish with lady fingers and cover with all the liquid jelly. Add roughly half the fruit and leave in the fridge to set overnight 3. Whip cream, sugar and vanilla and spread a thin layer on top of the set jelly 4. Use sliced strawberries to create a ring around the edge of the glass (for visual only). 5. Pour all custard gently on top of the cream 6. Add remaining cream on top of the custard and smooth out.
