The number of kids riding bikes and having independence has plummeted in just a few decades. Reversing this trend will take all of us, not just parents. We often shame kids for being on their phones or playing video games. If we truly want them outside, exploring, and playing with friends, then we have to step up and make it safe for them to do so. Kids learn by trying, and yes, by making mistakes. If you are driving and see children riding, please pull over and let them pass. It’s the quickest, safest, and most appreciated thing you can do. It builds trust for parents and helps more kids gain the freedom they deserve. From everyday drivers to national leaders, we all have a role in creating safer streets and better policies so kids can thrive. This is a team effort, and the team needs you. #KidsOnBikes #IndependenceForKids #SafeStreetsForAll #BikeBus #BetterStreetsBetterLives
