Everyone I speak to about @SenatorJacquiLambie says “I never thought I’d agree with Jacqui Lambie???” And I am equally as shocked when I find myself nodding along to a viral clip of Lambie saying she’s had a “gutful” of corruption, or greed, or salmon farming. So, when I got the chance to interview Lambie I took it, predominantly lead by my genuine intrigue. I also wanted to hear from a politician who appeals to Australians out of my echo chamber. I don’t agree with everything Lambie says or votes on, but there are elements of Jacqui that I wish other politicians would emulate. I really do think most Australians could find something to both vehemently and passionately agree AND disagree on with Jacqui, and that makes her incredibly unique in the current political sphere.
