The spread of Ebola in North Kivu province, in eastern DR Congo, is now “out of control”, according to Stephanie Hoffmann of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders). The outbreak, caused by the Bundibugyo virus, began in neighbouring Ituri province in May and has since spread to seven provinces. The WHO says the outbreak is spreading faster than any previous Ebola outbreak and is on track to potentially surpass the 2014–2016 West Africa outbreak which killed more than 11,000 people. #DRC #Congo #Ebola #InternationalNews #C4News
