Nigel Farage has won the Clacton by-election - securing 22,239 votes with Count Binface finishing second with 9,455 votes. The Reform UK leader did not show up at the results announcement, with a party spokesperson saying that Essex Police told Farage that there was a "credible threat" against him. However, Channel 4 News understands that the force did not issue this warning to him or any candidate and emphasised a robust police operation at the by-election. #Clacton #Election #Farage #Politics #C4News
