Thames Water has announced that it is bringing in a hosepipe ban from Thursday, which will affect nearly four million households in ten counties in southern England. The restriction means that Thames Water's estimated 16 million customers cannot use hosepipes for watering gardens, washing cars, filling pools or ponds and cleaning outdoor surfaces.
