THE BATTLE OF THE REAL HU RETURNS TO AUDI FIELD. Howard and Hampton meet today in the second annual HBCU Women’s Soccer Invitational, bringing one of HBCU athletics’ most storied rivalries back to a professional stage. The Bison enter the sixth meeting between the programs unbeaten in the all-time series at 4-0-1. Howard won last year’s inaugural Audi Field matchup 4-1, powered by two second-half goals from Match MVP Gabriella Garcia-Terrell. Howard opened its 2026 season with a scoreless draw against George Washington behind a nine-save shutout from senior goalkeeper Trinity Knox. Hampton enters at 0-2 under first-year head coach Sam Cain and is searching for its first victory after close losses to Indiana and Temple.
