The Prime Minister has called for calm amid protests following Henry Nowak's murder, with Shabana Mahmood (Secretary of State for the Home Department) appealing: 'The Nowak family made a powerful call… to not let Henry's death be used to create further division, hatred or tension. There can be no justification for hijacking this tragedy to stir up violence and disorder.' Henry Nowak's father Mark, speaking after Vickrum Digwa was jailed on Monday, said: 'We do not want his death to be used to create further division, hatred or tension.' The 18-year-old was murdered by Digwa who lied to police, accusing Nowak of racial abuse. Nowak was fatally stabbed by Digwa. Police bodycam footage show a police officer handcuffing Nowak and asking: 'You’ve been stabbed, whereabouts?' before adding: 'Don’t think you have, mate.' #henrynowak #police #uk
