Sir Jim Ratcliffe has issued an apology over his comments about immigration in the UK that got him into hot water. The Ineos founder and Manchester United co-owner commented that the UK has been 'colonised' by immigrants on Sky News. In a statement, Ratcliffe said: "I am sorry that my choice of language has offended some people in the UK and Europe and caused concern, but it is important to raise the issue of controlled and well-managed immigration that supports economic growth." The business mogul is a Monaco resident. In December 2025, taxpayers paid £120m into the Ineos Grangemouth chemical plant to keep it afloat. #jimratcliffe #uk #immigration
