A home inspector has said he quit his job after being asked to hide things from customers on building sites. John Cooper said a site manger asked him to "hide something from a customer that was moving in the next day" while he was working as a contracts manager in 2018. He said it made him determined to "make a change in the industry", co-founding the independent snagging company New Home Quality Control based in Swansea. His independent inspections, which cost up to £500, can sometimes find hundreds of defects and "exceptionally poor" workmanship. Cooper's long-term goal is for every new-build home to undergo an independent inspection before its owners move in. #BBCNews #Snagging #NewBuild #newhome #Swansea #Wales
