As of 9 February 2026, the mathematical claim is correct: Elon Musk is so exceptionally wealthy that the person in second place is statistically closer to an average citizen than to him. With a net worth of approximately £626.5 billion ($852 billion) following a massive merger between SpaceX and xAI, Musk sits roughly £423 billion ahead of the runner-up, Google co-founder Larry Page (~£203.6 billion). Because this "wealth gap" of £423 billion is significantly larger than Page's entire £203.6 billion fortune, the second-richest person on Earth is indeed "closer" to your net worth than he is to Musk's. #ElonMusk #Rich #Money #Wealth #Richest
