Haze continued to blanket Singapore as forest fires in neighboring Indonesia continued to burn. Swiss air quality monitoring firm IQAir recorded a reading of 181 on the U.S. Air Quality Index, classified as 'unhealthy.' The reading ranked Singapore as the world's second-most polluted major city, behind Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which was also affected by the fires. According to local news outlet Channel News Asia, Indonesian Environment Minister Jumhur Hidayat said Tuesday that the country aims to extinguish the fires within a month and is assessing offers of foreign assistance. #singapore #indonesia🇮🇩 #asia #airquality #wildfire
