BioWare is shutting down as Electronic Arts cuts around 400 jobs, with roughly 50 of those roles at the studio. Best known for Mass Effect and Dragon Age, BioWare's closure marks a major change for two of gaming's biggest RPG franchises. The next Mass Effect game has also been cancelled, ending years of teasers about its story and setting. The project was expected to return to the Milky Way, taking place hundreds of years after Mass Effect 3. BioWare has struggled to replicate the success of its earlier games in recent years, with Anthem and Dragon Age: The Veilguard both underperforming. #news #gaming #sad #company #dragon
