Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is sitting at about 90% Very Positive on Steam and is the top seller on Steam's global chart. That's the best Steam reception for a Call of Duty since Black Ops III, per Insider Gaming's tracking. Recent entries fared far worse, with Black Ops 7 at around 39%, Black Ops 6 at 46%, and Modern Warfare III at 48%. The reviews come from players who pre-ordered to play the campaign a week early, so it's the most enthusiastic part of the audience. Only the campaign is playable right now, and Modern Warfare 4's August multiplayer beta was rated Mostly Negative, so the score could shift. Multiplayer and DMZ arrive when the full game launches October 23 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. #callofduty #gaming #cod #modernwarfare #gameplay
