Sony Pictures has emerged as the frontrunner to land a live-action Battlefield movie, but the deal isn't final yet. Christopher McQuarrie, the Mission: Impossible director, is attached to write, direct, and produce the film. Michael B. Jordan is on board to produce and could star, though his acting role isn't confirmed. Warner Bros. Discovery, Amazon MGM Studios, Universal, and Netflix also bid in what's being called one of the year's biggest bidding wars. No plot, cast, or release date has been announced, and Sony declined to comment on the talks. The race is on against Paramount's Call of Duty movie, which already has a June 30, 2028 release date. #battlefield #gaming #movie #sony #michaelbjordan
