Netflix and Sega have announced a new Sonic the Hedgehog animated series aimed at an upper preschool audience. Carlos Stevens, known for his work on Love, Death + Robots, is producing the show alongside Sega's Toru Nakahara. The series is being designed to give younger kids a bit of "edge and attitude" while still fitting a preschool-friendly format. It's a different approach from Sonic Prime, Netflix's earlier animated Sonic series aimed at an older audience, which debuted in December 2025. This marks the second Sonic project from the Netflix-Sega partnership, alongside two other adaptations: a live-action Crazy Taxi comedy and a live-action Stranger Than Heaven film. No release date, voice cast, or further details have been announced yet for the new series. #sonicthehedgehog #gaming #netflix #sega #tvseries
