Netflix and Sega have confirmed a live-action film adaptation of Stranger Than Heaven, the upcoming game from RGG Studio, the team behind the Like a Dragon/Yakuza series. Sega producer Toru Nakahara, who also worked on the live-action Sonic films, is producing the movie. Stranger Than Heaven follows a foreigner in early 20th-century Japan who rises from having nothing to becoming a yakuza figure and eventually an entertainment mogul. No writer, director, or release timeline has been announced yet for the project. It's one of three Sega adaptations revealed alongside this news, joining a live-action Crazy Taxi comedy and a new Sonic the Hedgehog animated series aimed at younger kids.
