Miami officials have approved the GTA VI marketing proposal, allowing Rockstar to bring branded promotion to a defined stretch of downtown Miami through December 31. The zone is strictly limited to the area bounded by NE 5th Street, the Miami River, Biscayne Bay, and NE 2nd Avenue. Any banners larger than 5,000 square feet will cost $208,000 to apply for, and still require separate city approval on top of that fee. None of the approved ads can actually use the words "Grand Theft Auto," relying instead on "VI" or "Vice City" branding, including a sign on the Kaseya Center reading "Welcome back to Vice City." Rockstar is expected to pay between $3 and $4 million total for the campaign, following a contentious 4-3 vote that included pushback over the series' depictions of violence against police. The marketing push lines up with GTA 6's November 19 launch, giving Miami a real-world Vice City moment just weeks before release. #gaming #gta6 #grandtheftauto6 #miami #rockstargames
