Jack Lowden is the latest actor to be named as a contender for the next James Bond. While the Scottish actor is perhaps best known for his roles in Slow Horses and Dunkirk, Lowden also had a role in 2016’s Battlefield 1, as T.E. Lawrence. The role was a portrayal of the real-life T.E. Lawrence, a British Army officer known for his involvement during the Arab Revolt in World War 1, earning him the title of Lawrence of Arabia. Lowden’s possible Bond consideration was revealed during Richard Osman’s podcast, The Rest Is Entertainment, where Osman said he heard that Lowden’s name is in the mix.
