A 59-year-old Indian activist, Sonam Wangchuk, has lost 20lbs (9.1kg) and is reportedly in immense pain after surviving solely on salt water for 19 days amid a hunger strike. Wangchuk is protesting in support of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), an online satirical movement demanding educational reforms and the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over a leaked medical entrance exam. The Delhi High Court is scheduled to hear an urgent petition on July 16 seeking immediate medical aid for the activist, with aides warning he could die within two days without intervention. #india #delhi #hunger #education
