Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise has officially crossed 250 million copies sold worldwide since the series launched in 2007. That milestone puts it firmly among the best-selling video game series of all time. The jump comes on the back of a strong showing from the newest entry, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, which sold 2 million copies on day one and hit a franchise-record concurrent player peak of 99,451 on Steam. Black Flag Resynced also landed as the highest-rated mainline Assassin's Creed game since the original Black Flag, with an 85% score on OpenCritic and 84% on Metacritic.
