Insider Gaming reports that Splitgate developer 1047 Games is working on a new project codenamed Empulse, described as a spiritual successor to Titanfall. Pre-alpha footage seen by Insider Gaming shows fast-paced multiplayer combat featuring grappling hooks, wall running, and movement abilities reminiscent of the studio’s Splitgate roots. The gameplay also includes large mechs placed around the map, which players can enter and use in combat, echoing Titanfall’s signature mech warfare. One example shown had a mech equipped with a gatling gun, missile launcher, and a defensive shield, allowing players to dominate engagements while inside it.
