That’s around nine times higher than the original Subnautica’s all-time peak, instantly making it one of Steam’s biggest survival game launches ever. The sequel quickly overtook major releases like Resident Evil Requiem and Crimson Desert, while rapidly closing in on Slay the Spire 2’s current record for the biggest Steam launch of the year. The game also launched with “Very Positive” user reviews, alongside millions of wishlists leading into release.
