After launching on 27 February, Resident Evil Requiem has become the best-selling game of 2026 so far. The data comes via Circana analyst Mat Piscatella on Bluesky, where Requiem currently sits ahead of MLB: The Show 25 and WWE 2K26, both of which launched in March. It also sits ahead of Pokémon Pokopia, which sits in 12th place, though the charts only count physical sales. The digital sales for Pokopia could place the game much higher. Resident Evil Requiem launched as the fastest-selling game in the series’ history and, just two months after its release, has entered the ranks of the top five best-selling Resident Evil games of all time. The ninth main entry still sits behind Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 4 remake, Resident Evil: Village and the Resident Evil 4 (2005), but over time it’s possible Requiem’s sales will start to eclipse these older entries. #residentevil #gaming #leonskennedy #capcom
