Katsuhiro Harada has officially confirmed he is no longer a developer or creator on the Tekken series after more than three decades at Bandai Namco. In a New Year social media post, Harada told fans that “Harada TEKKEN is completely dead,” marking a clean break from the franchise he helped define. Bandai Namco previously announced in early December 2025 that Harada would be leaving the company after 31 years. Harada explained the timing felt right, with Tekken reaching its 30th anniversary, calling it the perfect moment to close a major chapter of his career. Fans responded with an outpouring of tributes, jokes referencing Tekken’s famously dramatic lore, and heartfelt thanks for his impact on the genre. While Harada is expected to make a final appearance at select Tekken esports events, his long-running role shaping the series has now officially come to an end. #tekken #gaming #bandainamco #gamingnews
