Earlier this year, Sony and Tencent were engaged in a legal battle over Tencent’s Light of Motiram, which Sony claimed to be a ‘clone’ of its Horizon series. Now, that battle is over, after the two companies reached a ‘confidential settlement’ on Wednesday. Light of Motiram, announced in 2024, immediately drew comparisons to Sony’s first-party title, including animal-like robot enemies, futuristic tech mixed in with overgrown, natural landscapes, and the game’s own Aloy-type protagonist.
