Hogwarts Legacy has hit a new milestone, after selling over 40 million copies worldwide. Avalanche Software’s RPG based on the iconic IP first launched back in 2023 across PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and has since received a port to Nintendo Switch 2. The 40 million mark, which doesn’t include downloads from subscription services, places Hogwarts Legacy as one of the best selling games of all time, tied with Pay Day 2 (2013), and Sonic the Hedgehog (1991).
